Synopsis
Rich curmudgeon Horace Vandergelder is getting on in years and decides to get married, for purely pragmatic purposes. Local socialite and meddler, Dolly Gallagher Levi, intends to marry Horace herself. Horace's niece, as well as his two store clerks, find themselves in New York City the same day as he does - all of them seeking love.
